YAHWEH
Yahweh (YHWH) is one person of the Triune Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), the representation of the Father revealed in the Torah, the historical account of Israel, the prophets, and the New Testament. He is the creator of the universe, father to both the righteous and the lost, and He dwells within all who receive His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah. This project began as an open-prompt library design and is informed by the structure and narrative logic of the Holy Scriptures. At its core, it asks: Where does our design experience occur? For me, design begins with prayer and meditation, asking questions and listening attentively to the answers that follow. In addition, it points all of creation to the creator. The purpose of my existence is singular through plural actions: to love first, to tell the story of the gospel, to point people to Jesus, baptize converts in water and the Holy Spirit so that they may become effective witnesses, empower others to hear the voice of the Father, and to make disciples. If this is my purpose, then my design process must embody these same intentions. These ideas must not remain abstract but instead become manifest in the way people encounter and experience the spaces I design. Through my work, people should see the Messiah, encounter the Gospel, and be directed toward the Father. My greatest accomplishment in this life is to co-labor with the Father and minister to his children, and in turn, witness others hear the voice of the Father for the first time, as described in Genesis chapter three. We are designed to live in direct relationship with Him, and to see others awaken to this reality is and always will be my greatest experience in the physical realm.
