Bio

Garrett Hamilton, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work flows from a deeply personal and prophetic relationship with the Creator (Yahweh). Garrett served in the United States Army and deployed as an Infantryman, fighting in the Surge of Kandahar City in 2011, and during that Campaign was directly involved in the operation that liberated the enslaved people of Shawalikot, Afghanistan. After deployment, Garrett spent 10 years on the streets suffering from drug addiction and PTSD/TBI until he met Jesus. This was the place where the personal, intimate relationship between creator and creation began to flourish, and as a by-product of that relationship, he was healed. Drawing inspiration from scripture and divine direction, Garrett creates in a variety of mediums including oils, watercolor and architectural design. With the intention of revealing the presence and voice of God for today. Rooted in the belief that creativity is a form of worship and obedience, Garrett’s practice is not just artistic; it is spiritual in nature. Each piece becomes a response to divine instruction, echoing the biblical pattern of those called to create sacred things. Garrett’s work was shown in the May 2025 Herberger Design Exhibition, where he received the design excellence award for the 2024-2025 year. Whether painting, drawing, or building, the purpose remains the same: to serve as a vessel of truth and beauty, declaring that God is alive, active, speaking, and performing miracles.
